Print this answer sheet and then click the link below to begin viewing a series of 20 macroinvertebrate photos. Each photo should contain enough characteristics of the organism to identify the order and family. Record your answer on the answer sheet. Once you feel you have identified the organisms, click on each photograph and a pop-up will appear with the name of the organism and general characteristics about the family.

According to the North American Benthological Society, a proficiency certification in aquatic macroinvertebrate taxonomy at family level requires a score of 95% or higher on the Level 1 exam.
